According to nutrition experts, we need to eat berries on a regular basis.  A recent study revealed that blackberries provide more protection from antioxidants than blueberries, strawberries, or walnuts.  Blackberries grown in Texas are available only in May and June, but the berries can be frozen and are just as nutritious and delicious when they are thawed during the winter months.  What a treat to have blackberry cobbler in December and January!
